ShoeMoney Systems Review-Legit or a Scam

Shoemoney ScamName:  ShoeMoney

Website: www.shoemoney.net

Price: Free (he pays you)

Owner(s): Jeremy Schoemaker

Overall Rank: 3/10

my recommendationsShoeMoney, Overview

This is a program set up by Jeremy Schoemaker to help people get started in internet marketing.  The idea is you follow his program and by the end of the program you will have a website up and running.  The plan is for him to teach you how to make money online.

The Good and the Bad

Good

The good news is this system cost you nothing.  In fact he will actually pay you for completing steps.  While this is true to some extent, it is not completely true.  He will pay you for completing steps.  The first step you will get paid $1.00 for and it is as simple as sharing on your Facebook or Twitter account.

The next stage you must sign up to his discounted cost of Hostgator.  The first month is only $.01 then you need to transfer your domain or website to the account or buy a domain.  While you will make a little bit of money, he is getting affiliate commissions so he may be sharing some of his commissions with you. UPDATE! Many people have stated that he changed his host to steady cloud hosting.  I have received multiple complaints that they hide the true cost of the hosting service in a 3 year contract.shoemoney system

He is also up front that he has sponsors that give him money to give away to people who complete tasks.  So at least he is honest about what is happening.  He does appear to know what he is doing and talking about, but he is not very polished.  If you look at the bonus section it has him speaking at a conference in a T-shirt that he has pulled over another T-shirt.  Then again you are not buying from him for his looks but instead for his knowledge.

shoemoney review

Bad

In order to go through his entire system you must purchase from him.  I have a few different hosting platforms that I currently have.  The second stage states you have to buy hosting from Hostgator.  I sent the help desk a message letting them know that I have hosting already, can I continue the system without purchasing the hosting plan he has.  That was done about 15 days ago.  To date I have not received a response from them. Update! Once again he does not use Hostgator anymore.  The new service he uses I really do not know anything about.  I have had multiple people complain about the service and their sales practices.

Even in the earlier stages he sometimes just quickly goes over a subject without giving an in depth description.  For example in the video about hosting and domains.  He says you can buy a domain and states just do something that you want to talk about.  Great starting advice, but it really is superficial.  There really is more to it than that.

customer service

Customer Support

As I mentioned above I attempted to contact the customer service and did not have a response from them.  I would have been happy with a negative response as long as they responded to me.  There is not an active community that you can discuss what is happening with others.  So you are really on your own with this one.

Who is ShoeMoney For?

If you are just getting started and don’t have hosting, autoresponder or anything set up yet, this might be okay.  The biggest issue is if you don’t know what these things are or why you need them, you might have a hard time trying to figure out what he is talking about.

how much does it cost

ShoeMoney Price

The price is free, well better than free.  He actually pays you to complete tasks.  These tasks will cost you some money every month, such as hosting, autoresponders and such.

My Final Opinion of ShoeMoney

Update:   In light of multiple complaints of the new hosting service that Shoe Money System is using I have changed my overall rating.  You might want to do the first stage and get the $1 for sharing his site on FB or twitter.  After that I would suggest to go somewhere else.  This is due to the multiple complaints I have had due to his new hosting service that he utilizes and the costs. This is not a bad starter program as long as you know what you are getting into.  You will have to buy certain things in order to use his system and get paid.  That is okay, it does not cost you a fee to do these things and join his sit.  The biggest issue I have is the lack of community and customer service.  In my opinion these things are vital to become successful in any online business.  That being said you can try it yourself and make one dollar without doing much more than sharing on facebook or twitter.  And you can earn your dollar here.

Not a Scam3/10 Legit

There are so many more programs out there that are much better than this one.  You can see my recommendations or read the full review of my top recommendation here.

In reviewing your site, I again have learned something new! I had no idea what shoemoney was and now I have an idea.
The site you have built is very easy to follow and easy to read. Like your up beat attitude and also like your disclaimer at the end before the comments.
Great job and hope to see you again.

I have heard of the ShoeMoney system in the past but didn’t pay it much attention. I didn’t realise it was free, though! That’s a big plus! but then I’m thinking there must be some kind of catch, mustn’t there?

As I read on, I see what’s going on here. He offers his training for free, as long as you use the services he recommends, such as Hostgator. Because he gets an affiliate commission for each person who signs up to Hostgator, this is how he is able to offer his training for free. The free training will entice people in, and then he gets commissions from the things they have to buy in order to put his training into practice.

This is why you won’t have received a response from him about continuing with the training by using your existing hosting. He won’t receive any affiliate commission from Hostgator if you do that, so he’s not interested.

I’m actually surprised you rated it as high at 6/10 to be honest.

      Marcus,

He actually pays you for completing each little process. It is not much. The first is you must do a FB share or a twitter share and he gives you $1 to give you an example.

You are correct that is the catch. My thought on the ranking is that there is training that he provides, it is legitimate training. Yes you have to use his services but it is good if you dont have these things set up.

But it is useless if you are established already and have these services.

      Thank you for your comment.

ShoeMoney does seem like a decent starting point for some beginner affiliate marketers, but certainly nothing special. Hosting & auto responders are relatively cheap, but does Jeremy try to upsell any really expensive tools?

It seems nice that it’s free to get started and that he pays you for completing tasks, but you have to imagine he’s making out in the end. At least he’s being honest about what he’s doing like you mentioned. And something like this has value for beginners, so I certainly wouldn’t call it a scam.

Overall, customer support and community are important, and it may be worth spending a bit extra on a service like Wealthy Affiliate to receive these added benefits. They have a starter membership where you can “earn as you learn” through your own affiliate commissions as well.

      Mathew,

That is actually another good thing is he doesn’t try to up sell you during the program.

You are correct it is a good way for a beginner but I feel that Wealthy Affiliate is much better.

Thank you for your comment and question. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

It does seem like a legitimate program to get started for beginner. Since it is free, there is no harm trying the program. It can be very useful for beginners to be exposed to some of the things that they are required to know. Other than the fee to play for the hosting, i suppose that there are no up sell of the program.

      Steve,

It really is a great system if you have nothing already started. He walks you through each and every step, but if you already have a host then you will need to have him sponsor you on your host or you cannot go further in the system.

      Fazia,
Thank you for the questions and I am glad you got the $1.00. I went in the system to see what happens and how it is set up. I would try verifing one more time. If it does not work send an email to Amanda@shoemoney.com immediately with the domain name you purchased. This information was taken off of their support page. If this is who you sent the email to before, I would try to send another one, just in case. I do not work for ShoeMoney it is just something I found that I thought others could find useful.
Please let me know the outcome and best wishes.

Just beware he has you go to steady cloud for hosting I picked a monthly and got charged three years. Also was unable to get into the site. Tech support was no help I tried to cancel they are horrible to deal with. Three years for something I couldn’t even access.
    In my opinion a SCAM
I’m just wondering how much jerry shoemaker gets paid to send you there to purchase Web hosting and sign up for monthly but get charged three years upfront.
I never even got through the steps because I couldn’t log into steady cloud and I’m still trying to get a refund.
I wonder how much jerry got for directing me to them?

      Mary,
I am not sure what you are talking about “steady cloud for hosting” Shoemoney supports Bluehost and that is where his referrals go there. I just double checked it because I thought maybe he changed it. To answer your question according to Bluehost affiliate program he would receive $65 per referral. That is the standard, but he might have a different deal worked out with them.
Thank you for your comment though. As I mentioned the thing I didnt like is that I had to buy the web hosting through him or I couldnt continue. I already have a bluehost account so I did not want to buy a second one.

        Hi Marc,
My name is Deborah. My husband and I were just at Shoemaker’s “free” course on the 22nd of April 2016. Mary is very much correct in that he has us sign up with Steady Cloud hosting. In the Terms for setting up the hosting it does state that they charge you for the full service term you sign up for . Shoemaker recommends the 3 yr plan. So, if you follow his directions you do get charged the whole 3 yr subscription at once. Therefore we have stopped at that point and have set out to check if there is any scam exposing articles on him, before it is too late to not get out of a service we may not be able to afford. So, we sit at that point in his training. Considering he starts with telling you multiple times that his training is free. I considered that a scam and misrepresentation of what he is offering others.

As a result of our search, we have learned about the Wealthy Affiliate also and are trying their free service and training. While holding off on the other for now. of course, he makes mone

        Thank you for this service,
        Deborah

Thanks for the update. It could be that I signed up for the program when he was using Bluehost so my account is locked with Bluehost. Thank you for the update! I will be changing my recommendation shortly.
Please reach out to me at Wealthy Affiliates if you have any questions.

      Meli,
Thanks for the update. I removed the link for a couple of reasons. First, if you had issues I dont want someone else getting the run around. Second, I dont want to give the website a free backlink and improve their standings.

I will make some changes to the review. That being said, when I go through the hosting link on the program it still only goes through Bluehost, which is a reliable and good hosting service.
It might be on a rotator so that once you click on it, it directs you to the rotation of hosts. I have never heard of steady cloud before.

      Thanks again for the update.

    Marc,
I have a company that has been calling trying to get me to sign on with them . My head is spinning from all the email and calls from all these different web builders or what the hell ever they do. I am totally ignorant about all this web site stuff. I have a site that another company built, and I really have no clue what to do with it . I did shoemakers 1st mod, but decided to investigate before spending $220 for a domain. Have decided against him, as his customer service really is not service. Now a place called Kr***** is sparking my interest. Do you know anything about them or ***S . Thanks for all your work. Great way to spell your name too

Thanks for the compliments. I had to change out the names of the companies sorry. I have not herd about them before. Please be careful of going to the next shiny thing. This will cost you a ton of money and you will have nothing to show for it. My suggestion is to try Wealthy Affiliates for free. You can then see if you can use your website there and learn to build it out.
The biggest problem with a lot of these so called done for you programs is they are cookie cutters and you will not rank well because they use PLR articles to build out your site. Then what they do is give you the site without any guidance. I will be happy to discuss more with you in an email.
Feel free to send me an email at Marc@earnextramoney.com and I will be happy to try and help you out.

    Marc,
My husband very recently found the “Shoe Money” system, or rather their email found him. The information is very vague and extremely misleading. We are both very computer literate … but that system provides little workable information. In very large print the observer is lead to believe that this will be a monthly charge of $5.95 (which is affordable). If there is a mention of paying for three years upfront, it must be very small print and hidden. My husband has not been able to log into anything, and no other information has been sent.

I was shocked and outraged when checked my bank and I found out we’d been charged $226!!!

In my opinion, this is “bait and switch” and quite a system for this person to create a cash-flow system for himself. I will tell everyone to stay clear of his operation.
