my recommendationsList Leverage, Overview

This program promises to build your list quickly with very little effort.  It does not cost anything to set up an account.  The idea is you promote your newsletter through their network and people sign up to your list as well as others.

The Good and the Bad

Good

The way the system works is this:  You sign up for the program and then promote your link however you like.  The first 5 people who sign up for your newsletter actually sign up for 5 other people’s newsletter as well letters and then they will promote your list.  The first 5 people they sign up actually come to you.  Each person after the first five go on your list and the first five people they sign up go on your list too.

The idea is that for every one person who signs up for your list you actually get five additional people to sign up for your list without any effort.  Very interesting idea, I think.  It will definitely make your list grow quickly.opt email list

So let me give you an example of how this works.  Let’s say that you send out a solo ad, (which they recommend doing) and you end up getting 35 people to sign up to your news letter.  Great job you just got 35 people added to your list, but wait each one of those people also add 5 people to your list over a short time.  Your list is suddenly not 35 but 175.  You get the idea.

Bad

I think there are several issues with this type of system.  The first being spam, people will get on your list that may not realize they signed up for the list.  This is bad, it means you will have a high rate of unsubscribe or unopened emails.  As well as a high rate of spam reports.

The system is not set up for double opt in option.  So this again means that people may be signing up for your email list and not realize it.  Not to mention you may not be completely complying or you might be skirting the anti spam laws.  There could be huge consequences.

Also how targeted will those subscribers be if others are trying to get people to sign up within their niche.  I suppose it would be okay if you are looking for a traffic niche or email building niche, but beyond that I think it would not be very targeted.  A very broad list that is not targeted in your niche is not a good list at all.List Leverage GVO autoresponder

Furthermore, you are promoting his system, you have to use his autoresponder that you need to pay extra in order to use the system.  There are lots of hidden costs such as this involved in Mathew Neer’s program.  Besides the GVO ( auto responder/webhosting) you have to pay to drive traffic to your offer.  He of course takes care of that and sends you to other offers, from PPC to solo ads.  Wait, are these hidden upsells?  That is exactly what they are, hidden upsells.List Leverage Infinite Leverage

I know I just said it but I will say it again, you need to use his autoresponder, that costs an additional $9.99 per month after the 7 day $1 trail.  I know what you are thinking, okay $9.97 per month for an autoresponder is not bad at all.  And you are correct that is not a bad price, but what will the bounce rate of the autoresponder be due to spam?  I believe you cannot use another one because it skirts the anti spam laws.  But that is pure speculation on my part.

customer service

Customer Support

Customer support is handled through an online form.  The form states you will receive a response within 24-48 hours.  It also has a link on the form if you want to cancel your membership.  I sent my request for additional information to them as I do with any system and I have not received a response yet.  The cancel subscription takes you directly to Clickbank to look up your order and cancel with them.

Who is List Leverage For?

This is for anyone who wants to build a list fast.  Bear in mind that the list will not be very targeted and may not be very responsive.

how much does it cost

List Leverage Price

The introductory price is $1.00 for a 3 day trial.  Then it is $47/month.  Let us not forget the additional cost you need.  You need the GVO hosting which also has a $1 intro offer for 7 days and an additional cost of $9.97/mo after that point.  You may also have to pay for PPC campaigns and Solo Ads.

My Final Opinion of List Leverage

While I believe the product will build your list quickly, the overall quality of the list may not be that great.  To me you are far better off using old fashioned methods of list building.  But if you want to try it you may do so here.

Caution5/10 Caution

So what is better than Mathew Neer’s product?  There are many things that I feel are much better than this product.  You can see them listed in my recommendations or you can see my top recommendation here.  Either way I believe you can find a better system to meet your needs.

I read your article about List Leveage Review. I should say that you have done a great job in offering a clear review about this product. You mentioned clearly about the Good and the Bad about this product. All the points are very important such as Customer Support, People for List Leverage for, Pricing and Final Opinion. There are many programs out there like this one for building a list. You are joining this program to promote List Leverage and yet you still pay $ 47.00/per month. Aside from that, you need also to pay $ 9.97/month for GVO hosting. The gurus always say the money is in the lists but the list you are building is not targeted. You are given some products for building your business, but I think those are already outdated.

If you really want to succeed online, join a program where you can learn how to build your own business with the always up-to-date training and the help of a community of expert internet marketers and that is, Wealthy Affiliate.

      Ferdie,

      Thank you for the comment.

Yes you are absolutely correct that there are so many better ways to build a successful business. The cost of this system is huge as you pointed out especially because you are not only building your list but theirs as well.

Wealthy Affiliate is my number one recommendation and thank you for mentioning it. Over all more people would be better off going that direction than trying list leverage. Although they are welcome to give it a try if they want.

      Regards,

      Marc

List Leverage looks like a solo ad – list building – MLM hybrid of some kind. Something like this would probably appeal to those who want a shortcut to building a large subscriber list. We all know how well those “shortcuts” work right?

There is too much emphasis placed on quantity over quality here. As you mentioned, these are not likely to be quality subscribers and may not even know why or how they subscribed to your list in the first place.

The intention behind List Leverage seems pretty clear to me. The owner sells you a practically useless monthly service by providing results that won’t work out the way their customers expect.

You may see a lot of subscribers in a fairly short period of time, but you will also see many un-subscribers and unopened emails.

There is no shortcut to building a list of quality subscribers. I wouldn’t recommend this.

      Steve,

Thank you for your comment and your opinion. I agree with you. You can have a huge list but if you dont have a good open rate or a high bounce rate it does not assist your business at all.

Building a list the old fashion way is the best way to do it. You need to make an honest connection with the people on your list or they will never listen to you or care what you have to say.

Thank you again for the comment.

Let me know if I can help you in any way.
