3 Digital Products You Can Make in Two Days or LessMany people ask me what is the best way to make money online.  While I would not recommend this if you are brand new to working online, the best way to make money online is to create your own products.  Digital Products that is.  Here are three digital products you can make in the next two days, or less.

my recommendationsChances are you came across this page because you are thinking about creating your own digital products to sell.  You were looking for a way to really do a good job.  So what is stopping you?

I know, the number one reason people don’t create and sell digital products is:

They think it takes too long to do!

Is that why you haven’t done it yet?

If so well, let me give you three great digital products you can create in under two days!

Why Digital Products?

Let me start by explaining why digital products.  First of all once you make them you can sell it over and over, via digital download.  If you have a physical product then you have to make each one of those products you want to sell.  Create once and sell again and again!

Many digital products you can make yourself or easily hire someone to create them for you.  If you have a special skill like programing it is easy to do it yourself at little to no cost.  Even if you don’t know coding, you can easily create documents, videos, and other products that you can sell to your readers.

Digital products can be made Evergreen.  Meaning you make it one time and continue to sell the product over and over again for years.  So even if you only make a little bit on each product, you can get a residual on those products for years to come!Earn Extra money home

Why You Should have a Following

Creating your own product can really be done by anyone, and I mean anyone.  However, if you don’t have a following or traffic, you won’t sell anything.  So what is the point?  The point is you should already have a defined way to sell to your potential clients.  It can be from an email list, a blog, or even social media.  You need a following!

Digital Book

Many people think eBooks are dead.  Why that is I have no idea.  How many people do you know that have a kindle, or use their tablet to read books now days?  Just about everyone I know reads digital books.  Why not write an eBook on a topic you are familiar with?  Or you can easily have someone else write on a topic that your readers would appreciate.  Some great places to have people write these books for you are: iWriter, Elance, ODesk, and Freelancer.

You don’t need it to be a novel, nor do you need it to be 15,000 words.  Try to shoot for around 8,000-10,000 words.  Believe it or not it really is easy to write a book or have one written for you that thoroughly covers a topic.Unique Current Content

When choosing that topic try to find something that your audience has a problem with.  This is called a pain point.  You can even send out an email to your email list and ask people what they would like you to write about.  You can help them out in a series or posts and then make those posts into an eBook, or you can go straight to an eBook.

Once you know what that pain point is then write (or have someone else write) in great depth about it.  Leave no stone un-turned.  Once you have done that you should make some snazzy artwork for your cover.  You can do this yourself for free at Canva or you can hire someone to do this as well. To hire someone, you can go to Fiverr and find someone to make you a book cover easily.

Finally, you need to sell your eBook.  But where to do it?  There are a number of resources that you can post your book for sale.  First off, if you have a blog, you can direct sell it from your blog.  Not that hard to do.  Another resource is Amazon of course there are rules you need to follow there, but as long as you follow those rules you can do well.  Other places to put your eBook for sale include E-Junkie and Easy Digital Downloads.

Paid Video Tutorials

Video Tutorials are easy to create and very helpful to people.  You can make them with a cell phone, video camera, or even your computer web cam.  So don’t wait plan something out and start recording, make it look presentable and put it up for sale.

Remember that pain point that I talked about earlier.  Sit down and plan out the video tutorial around that.  From there you can easily write and make a small or large video course.  You can make just one video or several videos to completely flesh out a topic.Website Platforms

I personally like to make several videos and allow time between each video for people to do the work themselves.  Create a PDF or two to go with each of the videos.  This is the best way for them to learn properly.

You can sell these through your email lists, making a page on your website and even through services.  If you are looking for a good service to use you can try Seltz, Sellfy, or Gumroad.  If you really feel adventurous you can set up a site and utilize affiliate platforms.

One on One Coaching

Do you have Skype, Face-time, or any other video conference program on your computer or phone?  Why not use it to earn extra money at home?  So how do you do that?  First off create a page on your website make it a service type post. Here you are selling an hour of mentoring/coaching.

Remember that you will need to make sure you give them the full hour.  I myself typically talk a little bit more than an hour when I do this. Why I want to make sure everyone is getting what they pay for.  Anyway back to the topic at hand.

There are two ways you can handle this.  You can even make it two different products or multiple products/packages.  First thing you want to do is either have a specific topic you can coach and really drill down on, or you can have a general topic such as ask any questions you want.

You can do bundles, for example 1 hour a month for 6 months or 5 hours in one month.  Whatever your reader wants is how you can customize your bundles.  Make sure you specify how it will be handled, meaning what platform and what the time each session starts. Who will contact whom and so forth.branding yourself

Not to be mean, but if the session is supposed to start at 1:00 PM and the person doesn’t show up until 1:20, then the session should end at 2:00 not 2:20.  They are paying you for your time don’t waste your time waiting for them.  If they don’t show up, you still get paid.  Again, you set that time aside, that is their fault.  You can make exceptions of course that is up to you.

Once you have the page set up you can send email to your list stating you have 5-10 spots available for coaching/mentoring for that month. Direct them to that page you made.  Make sure that page has a disclaimer stating that there may be a waiting list because you want to give each person the personal attention they deserve.

You can then send out emails when needed on a monthly basis to remind people of the service.  Don’t overdo it.  Meaning don’t send out the same email every week!  This will kill your list!  You want them to love you not hate you.

One more thing I like to do is put in a disclaimer to people that you have the right to record the session.  After you have done a few of these sessions, and recorded them, you can easily pick out the best sessions and put together a less expensive version for people to purchase.  Just like the video tutorials.

Conclusion

Creating your own digital products does not need to take years, months, or even weeks.  Don’t be a perfectionist.  You can always update and fix the little errors you make as you go along.  One of the best programs I have found out there to successfully manage digital products is Product Dyno, you can read the full review of it here.

I just gave you three awesome digital products you can easily make within two days’ time.  So what are you waiting for?  Get out there and start creating!

If you don’t believe you are ready to start creating digital products than a good thing to take a look at is my top recommendation.  You will be able to learn all you need to know about online marketing.  As always please leave any questions, comments, or concerns below, I love hearing from you.

    Marc,
Super article on digital products. I never thought of digital products as a way to make money over and over again on the same product. What a great idea. Sort of like a musician that records a song.
This is something that needs to be seriously thought about and tried.
Do you have some ideas on pain points that you are willing to share?
    Thanks,
    Ed

    Ed,

I am glad you enjoyed the article.  If you have a small following it may be enough to get started.  Pain points are actually specific to your customers/followers, so it would be difficult for me to know your followers and give you some.  But just a few off the top of my head, would be how to increase sustainable traffic at little or no cost; How to get more people to open your emails; How to increase google rankings, and so on and so forth.

The best thing to do is really just ask your audience and see what they would like to hear about.  That way it is already targeted to what they actually want and therefore easier to get buyers for your product.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

    Marc
